Instructions for downloading old time radio shows
-
Point
your mouse at the "Right-click
here to download" link.
-
Click
your right mouse button
once.
-
A
menu will pop-up.
-
Select
the "Save Target As" option if you
are using Internet Explorer on a
PC (if you are using a Mac the
menu options may be slightly
different).
-
A
window will pop-up allowing you to
select the location on your hard
drive where you wish to store the
file.
-
Select
a location on your hard drive
where you want to store the file
(don't forget to remember where
you put it!).
-
Click
the Save or OK button.
-
The
file will now download to your
computer. This is likely to take
quite a while (up to thirty
minutes depending on your
connection speed).
-
Once
the file has completely downloaded
click on your My Computer icon and
browse to the subdirectory where
you stored the file.
-
Once
you have located the file (it will
have a .mp3 extension)
double-click on the file.
-
The
default MP3 player on your
computer should open and play the
file.
-
If
your computer says there is no
program associated with that kind
of file (i.e. the player doesn't
open automatically, which is highly
unlikely) then you will
first need to download and install
an MP3 player such as the
completely FREE WinAmp. The url for
Winamp is http://www.winamp.com.
